Bigger and better than ever: Winners announced for makers & shakers 2022 in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group

The winners for this year’s makers & shakers Awards in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group have been revealed. Returning once again to BAFTA Piccadilly on Wednesday 7th December 2022, the ceremony was supported by Neom, St Pete Clearwater Film Commission, Pholex Ecopower and First Poly Productions.

After a lengthy and in depth judging process, the Awards revealed the winners of the seven categories, including new category Maker of the Year. Hosted by Comedian Darren Griffiths, audiences remained thoroughly entertained between the announcements. The Location Guide’s managing director Jean-Frédéric Garcia stated: “ What a year it has been! With the slate of incredible submissions, our judges were able to pick out the best of the best of those breaking the creative and innovative boundaries. It has been an amazing experience to witness the imaginative projects from the entrants and their dedication to championing the global screen industry.

About the Awards

Launched at BAFTA in December 2019, the makers & shakers Awards  celebrate excellence in global production. After two successful award ceremonies, we will once again spotlight innovative and impactful contributions made by production professionals, freelancers, film commissions, government film liaison offices, studios, production services, support businesses and facilities.

We believe it is important to recognise the achievements of professionals who work tirelessly to facilitate and support the work of creatives. While traditional awards are fantastic at honouring the best creative work, they often overlook the achievements of professionals who pioneer change within the global industry. This is why the makers & shakers Awards was born: with the intention of celebrating exceptional work that is being done on the ground.

Our jury of leading international professionals - including Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (UK), LMGI, PACT and winners from the past editions - are ready to judge entries across six categories:
