We are incredibly honored to accept this recognition, which is an absolute win for all of Indian Country. Representation matters and it is vital that Indigenous people see themselves accurately and authentically represented in all forms of media across the globe. It is the inspiration that drives our mission and encourages our team to continue working diligently on new and proactive ways to engage and support Native talent across the film and television industry.

Not only being nominated, but winning Shaker of the Year 2022 proves that the hard emotional and physical labour we all have put into this work is paying off. We're heading in the right direction, and pace is still glacial at times, and yet there is movement; of awareness, recognition and change, much needed change.

I  would like to dedicate this award to Production Designer and friend Alan MacDonald, Unit Nurse and friend Morag Webster, both of whom died by suicide. We as an industry have also lost Location Manager, Micheal Harm to suicide and Camera Operator Mark Milsome, who was killed whilst filming a car stunt. All of this work is to help prevent these tragic losses ever happening again.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and been our cheerleaders, and thank you to those who told me time and time again that I was wasting my time, you helped spur me on even harder! Take care x

We are more than thrilled to be receiving this award! It is a true testament that our work is needed and demanded by the industry, and that a change in how we work with weapons on set is warranted. We wish we could dedicate this award solely to Halyna Hutchins, but truth is plenty more people have lost their lives to special effects and firearms on set gone awry, been injured, hurt or endured loss of limbs, sight and hearing. We dedicate this award to every single one of them.

The makers & shakers recognise companies and individuals from across the world who make great content but more importantly make a difference and make things change. It was a joy to be celebrating with so many people who want to see our industries be better for people and for the planet.

I am so delighted to accept this award on behalf of my amazing team . The collaboration of locations, art , construction and local authorities made it possible to achieve what we did in the village of Enniskerry.

I’m very proud of this and very thankful to the judging panel for this award.

The award is yet another milestone in our journey to create a vibrant creative sector in Bhutan. Team Samuh would like to thank His Majesty the King & Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen for being the biggest supporters of the creative industry in Bhutan.

The Samuh story is a story of how one single creative initiative leveraging technology and creative entrepreneurship, supported by government and banking schemes, facilitated by regulatory bodies, and supported by the creative community can play a critical role in creating a national revolution in the creative space.

In our creative film industry where so much is shown to promote awareness of the devastating climate disaster we face, it is up to all of us individually and collectively to walk the talk and take action NOW - not in the future but NOW - to reduce the damage we do to the environment. VECTAR Sets does exactly that and this award, is such an amazing accolade for us.

Showing that even a small company as we are, can make a difference. This Industry award is so important to us in helping to promote greater use of our facilities helping every production to make a difference. We really are humbled and grateful for this Award and thank all our clients, our staff and our partners who have shown so much faith in helping us to make VECTAR Sets and VECTAR Project a reality.
