The Te Puna Kairangi Premium Fund and the Ara ki te Puna Kaiarangi Premium Development Fund were created to support the Aotearoa New Zealand production sector’s recovery from COVID-19. As well as supporting high-quality productions that tell New Zealand stories for global audiences, the scheme is set to boost economic growth through the attraction of international investment in the national screen sector.

We are thrilled to receive the award for best film initiative! We are incredibly proud of everyone involved with the Te Puna Kairangi Premium Fund and Ara ki te Puna Kairangi Premium Development Fund and how we were able to provide support to the New Zealand screen sector through a very difficult time. The joint initiative meant high-quality productions which told New Zealand stories to global audiences could continue while at the same time boosting economic growth through international investment in the national screen industry.
