OUTSTANDING CREATIVE USE OF A LOCATION

sponsored by:

Awarded to a Location Manager / Supervising Location Manager & their team.

We are looking to award a location professional for the creative use and management of a single location in a film, TV movie, TV series, episode, advertisement or short form which has created an on-screen memorable impact while inspiring peers.

Judges are looking for evidence of creative skills in taking a director's brief and 'finding a truly outstanding location' as well as for the 'Location Professionals' individual skillset in making that particular location work for the production.

Examples:

The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

Shot entirely on location in San Francisco, this film uses many very old, unique and untouched locations juxtaposed with modern construction in the city.

The Northman

The most Northerly point of Northern Ireland was selected as the space on which to build a Viking Village.

Disenchanted

Working closely with the local community, the crew and their teams created such an incredible spectacle with exquisite sets designed and dressed, turning Enniskerry into Disneyland.
